I bought this summer LST crib and thwarted the instuctions. I do not believe things because I do not think they mentioned how to do it again. I thought it was a bed toddler or day bed then a normal size.

There is no attack to the nursery. You have to use it as a day bed ... So you remove the side rail as you indicated above.
Go To walmart.com and find the shortest Regalo Bed Upbraid, I think it would work on a toddler bed fine.
